Get ready to join me on an exciting crafting journey where I took a Posh Chalk Bottle Box with Sliding Lid Wooden Craft and turned it into a personalised work of art using the magic of WoodUbend and Posh Chalk! This bottle box transformation project was so much fun, and I’m thrilled to share every step with you.
First things first, I assembled the Posh Chalk Bottle Box. This lovely Wooden Craft was just begging for a creative touch. I reached for my trusty WoodUglue, the absolute best for sticking WoodUbend and wood together. A few dabs and it was solid as a rock, ready for its dazzling makeover.
Diving into Texture and Colour with Stencils

Next came the exciting part – stencilling! I picked one of the three side panels (leaving the sliding door for later) as my first canvas. To add some beautiful texture and detail, I grabbed the gorgeous Posh Chalk Lattice Premium Stencil. Holding it firmly in place, I reached for the luxurious Posh Chalk Glass Plaster. Using my Posh Chalk Premium Finishing Trowel, I carefully spread the plaster across the stencil, making sure every little bit was filled.
Now for some colour magic! In two little tubs, I mixed a few drops of the rich Posh Chalk Royal Indigo Colour Kick with a touch of the pure Posh Chalk Arctic White Colour Kick in one, and the dreamy Posh Chalk Aegean Ocean Colour Kick with Posh Chalk Arctic White Colour Kick in the other. This gave me contrasting lighter and darker shades of beautiful blue.
With my custom colours ready, I dabbed them randomly across the stencilled area. Then, I used the trowel again to gently blend the colours together, which gave me subtle and natural-looking streaks. The moment I peeled back the stencil? Wow! The intricate lattice design was now beautifully raised and had this incredible blue marble-like effect. I loved it so much, I did the exact same thing on the other two side panels, making sure all the sides (except the sliding door) had this gorgeous textured design.
Adding Elegance with a WoodUbend Appliqué and Metallic Shine
To bring in a touch of elegance, I chose the stunning WoodUbend WUB1413 Appliqué. These WoodUbend mouldings are seriously clever because they can be bent when heated! I pre-painted my appliqué with the gorgeous Posh Chalk Blue Prussian Metallic Paste using a Posh Chalk Mouldings Brush. The shimmering blue instantly added a touch of luxury.
Once the metallic paste had been force dried, it was also malleable enough to adhere onto the sliding door. Out came the WoodUglue again! I applied WoodUglue to the entire footprint of the warm appliqué, carefully positioned it, and pressed it down firmly.
Framing the Beauty with WoodUbend Trim

To really frame those lovely stencilled panels, I picked the super versatile WoodUbend TR805 trim. Just like the appliqués, these WoodUbend trims are heat-bendable wonders! I heated the trim and cut two strips that were just the right length to wrap around the top and bottom edges of the three stencilled sides.
Just like the appliqué, I pre-painted these trim strips with the same beautiful Posh Chalk Blue Prussian Metallic Paste. Once they were dry, I applied WoodUglue to the back and, heating them as I went, carefully stuck them to the top and bottom edges of the Bottle Box. The heat made them bend perfectly around the corners without any issues, giving it such a professional look.
To finish it all off, I trimmed off any extra bit of the trim, sanded the edges until they were super smooth, and then painted those newly cut edges with the Posh Chalk Blue Prussian Metallic Paste so everything looked perfectly coordinated.
