How to use the Alexandra Layered stencils:

Step 1 – Carefully remove the stencils from the packaging.

Step 2 – When you’re ready to start creating with your stencil, you may wish to secure it in place.  You can use a low tac tape or a Spray Mount adhesive.

Step 3 – Follow the visual instructions on the back of the packaging.  You will notice that each layer has the words ‘FRONT’ on them, this is to help with the orientation of the stencil when you lay it on the surface.  The stencils are transparent so that you can see the layer below.  Each stencil is numerically marked.  Start with Number 1.  be sure to let each layer dry throughly before carrying on to the next stencilling layer.

Step 4 – If you are using a liquid medium or Posh Chalk Pigments to create your design, use a stencil brush.  If you are using pastes and thicker mediums, use a trowel or spatula.

Step 5-  Once you’ve finished using your Alexandra stencils , clean them immediately with warm soapy water and hang to dry.  Take care not to use any scouring agents or utensils to avoid scratching and ripping of the detail.  Place back in the packaging supplied and hang up to avoid bending and creasing.
